In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks such as preparing material relief for manufactured units, auditing production practices, and maintaining reports for management etc.

Responsibilities:
Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials and production methods to determine effect on cost.
Maintains cost accounting system.
Prepares bills of materials and maintains basic bills of materials.
Reviews material prices and alerts management with material price fluctuations.
Accumulates and completes scrap reports each month.
Prepares material relief for manufactured units each month and determines cost for finished goods.
Prepares estimates on special order custom units.
Prepares estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Leads the inventory process at each inventory.
Selects an area of production each month and audits material usage.
Skills:
A costing person should have a strong cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills.
Strong Excel skills and ability to use Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint - Computer Literate.
Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel is a plus.
Should possess ability to accurately prepare various reports as required.
Responsible for inventory, presentation and finalizing results.
Minimum
Qualifications:
It is required to have at least six months to a year of accounting or cost accounting experience.
(The person hired will be trained for this position however the ideal candidate must have some experience.
) Must have a stable work history.
Possess an Associate's degree or higher in accounting.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required! The ideal candidate must be coachable, willing to work in a team atmosphere and friendly.
